The Access Control Officer is responsible for patrolling assigned areas, parking vehicles, and staffing in accordance with Company and the Safety & Security Department’s policies and procedures.

Job Description

• The Access Control Officer provides verbal instructions to guests and/or employees in assigned areas of responsibility including parking areas and security posts. The Access Control Officer monitors and responds to inappropriate guest and/or employee behaviour, enforces rules and restrictions, regulates guest/employee actions, and request assistance from the Safety & Security Supervisors and Leads as needed.
• The Access Control Officer will perform duties during normal and unusual situations and will respond quickly to unusual situations.
• The Access Control Officer must exhibit a high degree of motivation toward providing guest satisfaction by displaying a friendly approach to guest service.  In addition, the Access Control Officer must be able to deal with many guests and/or employees each day in a positive, friendly and professional manner. 
• The Access Control Officer must be flexible to work at different positions and must be knowledgeable of all work station requirements and functions.
• The Access Control Officer must be willing and able to perform all other job duties and assignments as assigned by management.
